Sound + light installation in a corner of darc room. Cocktails are mixed by a robot using audio frequencies alone. Inspired by Delia Derbyshire. If you're lucky you might even get a drink.

BREXIT is happening and UK manufacturers are busy preparing themselves to navigate new and unchartered territory. To acknowledge, record and reflect on this unprecedented moment in history, Factorylux founder and UK manufacturing champion Stanley Wilson seconded a state-of-the-art industrial robot to legendary composer / sound designer Tom Parkinson for one month.

The secondment was a creative success and FACTORYLUX + XICATO subsequently commissioned the trio (Tom, Stan + robot) to create a new site specific sound & light installation for London Design Festival. The result of this memorable human vs. robot encounter is 'Cocktails & Robots', a wonderfully avant-garde mash-up of drinks, humanoid automation and acoustic science, inspired by Delia Derbyshire and the incredible sonic properties of Factorylux + Xicato architectural lighting.

Find us at darc room in the heart of London's design community where cocktails are mixed by a robot using audio frequencies alone. If you're lucky, you might even get a drink.
