Everything Then is Now II: PLATFORM 0 is a site-responsive exhibition presented by CAM – Casoria Contemporary Art Museum and SPIRA9 ART as part of London Design Festival 2026 and Othering London. Returning to the Old Waiting Room at Peckham Rye Station, the project unfolds within a space suspended between preservation and transformation, a place where histories remain unfinished and the present is continually shaped by what came before. This second chapter turns to the figure of 0. Not as absence or emptiness, but as origin, interval, and possibility. It marks neither the beginning nor the end, but the point at which arrival and departure become indistinguishable. Here, return is understood not as repetition, but as an act of reconfiguration; memory not as something preserved, but as something continually produced through movement, encounter, and time. The Old Waiting Room embodies this condition. Once sealed for more than half a century and now temporarily reopened, it exists somewhere between architecture and infrastructure, monument and passage. The station is approached not simply as a transport hub but as a social choreography, a place shaped by waiting, interruption, circulation, and exchange. Its layered material history becomes an active participant in the exhibition, inviting artists to work with the space rather than merely within it. Bringing together artists, designers, architects, performers, and interdisciplinary practitioners, PLATFORM 0 presents works that engage memory without fixing it, treat time as material, and embrace transformation as an ongoing process. Across installation, moving image, sculpture, performance, sound, and spatial practice, the exhibition proposes a constellation of encounters in which personal histories intersect with collective experience, and overlooked spaces become sites of renewed cultural imagination. As the Old Waiting Room enters another stage of its public life, Everything Then is Now II becomes both a return and a requiem. Not a requiem for disappearance, but for permanence itself, for the illusion that places, identities, or memories can ever remain fixed. Instead, the exhibition understands every ending as another threshold, where what has been lost, remembered, or forgotten continues to generate new forms of presence. Rather than asking what remains unchanged, PLATFORM 0 asks how spaces remember, how bodies carry time, and how acts of return might become acts of transformation. Within this temporary platform, architecture becomes archive, movement becomes language, and memory becomes something encountered rather than possessed. Everything Fades to Begin.
