Lucie Naujalis

The exhibition showcases Lucie Naujalis’ coppersmith practice .

This new body of work focuses on the study of forms and the tensions held within different metals.

The vessels on display have been created through an intimate dialogue between the craftsperson and her use of different metals.

Forms are drawn out of the material's inherent internal tensions. Shapes, curves and voids are developed during the sensual process of making.

The pieces on display call to be touched, rung like a bell and used within everyday life.

Being inherently tactile their natural patination are initially set in the studio but soon develop into unique objects, a product of their environment.  

Lucie Naujalis works from her London studio to commission as a fabricator, welder and machinist of all metals. Her diverse practice covers coppersmith work to commercial furniture and architectural fabrication.
