Annie Atkins

Annie Atkins is a graphic designer for the film industry, creating graphic props and set pieces for movie productions shooting all over the world. Based in Dublin, Ireland, Annie has designed graphic pieces for multiple Oscar-nominated films: including the animated feature The Boxtrolls, Spielberg’s Bridge of Spies and West Side Story, and Wes Anderson’s Isle of Dogs, French Dispatch, and the Grand Budapest Hotel – the latter which went on to win the Academy Award for Best Production Design. Her book on the subject, Fake Love Letters, Forged Telegrams, and Prison Escape Maps: Designing Graphic Props for Film was published by Phaidon in 2020, winning accolades from Jeff Goldblum (“Annie Atkins is a master craftswoman… she makes the unreal seem hyper real and the real more supremely alive”) and The Guardian ("When film-makers need a detailed artefact, they go the in-demand Welsh creator, Annie Atkins”).
