The collection of interior accessories ~1 hour deals with the passage and fluidity of time. In today's hectic times, can we afford the luxury of time? Maybe just one hour is enough! A collection of hourglasses and other accessories that communicate with each other, but also function as unique pieces in their own right.
The ~1 hour collection of interior accessories deals with the passage and fluidity of time.In today's hectic times, can we afford the luxury of time? Maybe just one hour is enough! At the centre of the project is a unique hourglass made with technology developed by Shard Art, a studio focused on working with glass, together with the designer. The two colours of the object recall the duality of the artist's Palestinian roots and her everyday Czech reality, at the same time referring to the fluidity of time in which the past meets the future, creating a unique moment in the here and now that we can dedicate to ourselves. Other accessories communicate with the central object in a mutual dialogue: the neon as a desert snake, the vases as a symbol of transformation, when error becomes part of reality, and the luminaire, which refers to the combination of various elements into one harmonious whole as the imaginary heart of the desert. All the pieces tell a story, but they also work on their own. ~1 hour combines a love for Czech craft, design and work with the identity of the artist, which is made up of two completely different realities.
