Discover how makers are redefining craft, connecting heritage with contemporary practice.

Showcasing works by Contemporary Applied Arts members working across mediums, including glass, ceramics, textiles, metal, wood and jewellery, 'A Legacy in Motion' celebrates craft traditions whilst imagining new possibilities. From functional ceramics and hand-blown glassware to unique artworks that meld craft with augmented reality, each piece offers a chance to bring the story of making into your own space. Founded in 1948, Contemporary Applied Arts is London’s original multi-disciplinary applied arts gallery. For more than 77 years, we have championed and promoted only the very best of British applied arts.
