Beyond products, beyond exhibitions: Lualdi continues to shape its London showroom as a place for conversations, connections and architectural culture.

Following its opening in May 2026, Lualdi's London flagship showroom continues to reinforce dialogue with design firms operating on a global scale. With a spatial concept presenting a compact sequence of systems that brings the technical and design dimensions of the product to the fore, the company has made a choice that signals a shift in approach: the space becomes a working tool, conceived more for architects than for representation. From door to system At the heart of the project lies the transition from door to architectural system, defining thresholds, relationships and spatial continuity. Sliding doors, flush systems, glazed partitions and integrated solutions are arranged in sequence, enabling a direct reading of material and technological variations and their impact on the project. This approach reflects a broader transformation in contemporary interiors, where boundaries between spaces are increasingly fluid and central to the design process. London as an international platform The choice of London follows a clear rationale: the city remains a strategic hub for international firms active across the office, residential and hospitality sectors. Lualdi's relationship with the UK market dates back to the 1990s, with its first projects in the City. The opening of a dedicated space represents the evolution of an established presence, now strengthened by the need for a local operational base. Exporting a design model With the new showroom, Lualdi brings to London an integrated model that combines industrial production, customisation capabilities and technical support for design. The company positions itself as a partner across all phases – from development and coordination through to delivery – occupying a space between manufacturing and consultancy. This is an approach that is widespread within the sector, yet distinguished in the Italian context by the combination of artisan culture and product engineering. The showroom as an urban interface The opening is part of a broader evolution in the role of showrooms: increasingly less purely functional spaces, and more relational devices. Street presence becomes integral to the project: the window is not merely a display, but a point of connection with the city and with a wider community that includes not only designers but also end users.
