This year’s Design London party focuses around a central bar brought to you by Finnish brand Kyrö Distillery, the exclusive whiskey and gin partner of the show. Kyrö Distillery Company is a rye distillery founded in a sauna in 2012 and uses 100 percent Finnish rye to produce rye gin and rye whisky. The unique 100% rye base and local wild botanicals including birch and meadowsweet, offer a new take on traditional gin cocktails. Designed by fellow Finnish brand Vaarnii and constructed entirely out of pine, the Kyrö bar is set to be a “brutally Finnish” masterpiece to complement the all-rye distillery’s “brutally Finnish” spirits. Sample some of these unique mixtures while enjoying striking views over the Thames.
