EX2: Open Studios + Manufactory

EX2 opens its doors for Manufactory 2026, inviting visitors behind the scenes of a working maker space centred on production, fabrication and sustainable creative practice. Across two days, visitors can explore open studios and workshops, meet the designers, makers and creative businesses based here, see work in progress and discover the processes, materials and skills behind what they produce. Sustainability and reuse are embedded in EX2 itself. The building was designed to make creative use of reclaimed materials, incorporating pallet wood and repurposed flats from old local film sets throughout its studios and shared spaces. This approach continues within the community it houses, with makers and production businesses for whom material reuse, responsible production and sustainability are central to their practices and products. Open Studios offers a rare opportunity to experience this community at work, spanning design, craft, fabrication, material experimentation and small-scale production. As part of Manufactory - Park Royal Design District’s festival of interdisciplinary art and culture - EX2 joins studios, workshops, warehouses and industrial spaces across Park Royal in opening up an area defined by making and production to new audiences.
