Hosted at Firepit Gallery, FUYI Award 2026 UK & Europe Launch Event includes talks, an award ceremony and networking. It also features F.A.M. Mid‑Autumn Afternoon Tea edible art tasting, celebrating creators and exploring dialogue between Chinese heritage and contemporary global design.

This edible‑art tasting experience forms part of an international award‑driven cultural programme co‑hosted by Copyright Society of China and Henan Media Group (HMG). Curated by food artist Leyu Li and presented at Firepit Gallery alongside the FUYI Award ceremony and exhibition, F.A.M. Mid‑Autumn Afternoon Tea re‑examines traditional Chinese food‑therapy knowledge through the lens of contemporary food design. Drawing inspiration from the rich cultural legacy of Henan as well as Mid‑Autumn festive traditions, the experience interprets three classic food‑therapy concepts: Yin‑Yang harmony, shape‑resonance nourishment and colour‑resonance nourishment. A series of hand‑crafted edible artworks including moon‑phase yin‑yang mooncakes, walnut tarts, red‑bean lamb jelly, jujube madeleines and black‑sesame confections turn ancient philosophical ideas into sensory petit‑fours paired with tea‑based beverages. Rather than making medical or therapeutic health claims, the work explores the long‑standing cultural relationship between food, human bodies and nature. Integrated within the wider FUYI Award programme, this food‑art offering invites visitors to engage with cultural heritage not only by viewing exhibits, but through the immersive, embodied ritual of eating. It builds a creative dialogue between Chinese cultural heritage and global contemporary design, offering audiences a fresh, taste‑centred perspective to rethink traditional hand‑making practices.
