Today, more than ever, material sourcing, supply chains, and ethicality frame design considerations. Within this period of rapid change, it is imperative to have singular creative voices set the tone and offer alternative visions. As data mining and AI increasingly drive design decisions, many within design are drawn to tools that appear to make life ‘simple’. Making sense of the future requires designers who are generative, bring insights and challenge accepted understanding of otherwise familiar objects. This process requires personal vision to drive innovation and offer new ideas.
