Fritz Hansen Sound Club comes to London for a one-off global event, during the London Design Festival - the capital’s annual celebration of design. Fritz Hansen Sound Club is a multi-space installation exploring how sound shapes the way that furniture, light and materials can be experienced in interior settings. The installation which comes to London for one week only during the London Design Festival, sees designs taken from archive, new designs for Autumn/Winter 2026 and an overarching, Bauhaus-inspired feel to each setting, with earthy tones, natural materials and mood lighting. Set across 4 domestic listening scenes within the London flagship showroom, Farringdon, Fritz Hansen Sound Club considers how sound can characterise a space. To celebrate its 90th anniversary, a limited-edition KAISER idell™ Lexus lamp and Technics – SL 40CBT turntable in matching burgundy lacquer, are the centrepiece for each setting and listening moment – showing how sound and light together shape everyday life. The settings invite solitude and focus, others more social and collaborative. “Sound plays a direct role in how we experience space. It shapes how we move, where we pause, and how we relate to furniture, light and materials. With Fritz Hansen Sound Club, we explore how these elements work together to define the character of a space, and how this way of thinking continues to shape our design today,” says Els Van Hoorebeeck, Creative Director at Fritz Hansen. New pieces launching for Autumn/winter 2026 and featuring at Fritz Hansen Sound Club, include a new member of the lighting family - the KAISER idell in a more compact, wall version. An update for the Monolit chair designed by Cecile Manz, sees a new version with a plywood base. An expansion of the N02™ Recycle design, reveals a now fully upholstered chair designed by Japanese studio, Nendo. A new interpretation of the Superellipse™ table has produced 3 new finishes, maintaining its relevance in contemporary spaces. For the London Design Festival, guests are invited to interact with sound. Rather than a listening bar or installation - Fritz Hansen Sound Club is an invitation to sit, listen, and notice what happens when two precision-led objects share the same space. The Study Quiet and considered - the study is dressed with a 1930s writing desk and Ant chair in cherry veneer - inviting a considered listening experience and late evening concentration. The Reading Corner In this intimate and personal space, the Egg Chair and footstool provide a cocooned feel for solitary, absorbed listening and comfort. The Living Room A more social gathering is intended. The turntable faces the guests. PK31 chairs in black and low PK63 table invite a more lounge feel for sitting and talking, whilst music plays in the background. The Drinks Moment Social and light, pieces such as the drinks trolley are taken from archive designs. Swan chairs, 1930’s Drinks Trolley and PK61 reveal rich, luxe upholstery and texture.
