Lema presents a selection of new furniture highlights from the recent Salone del Mobile in Milan at the newly extended Showroom at the heart of Chelsea. Drawing on its Made in Italy craftsmanship, contemporary design ethos, and collaborations with international designers, the articulate collection is a must see.
For this year's London Design Festival Lema is delighted to bring to London some of its brand new design novelties. Centre stage in the flagship store windows is Eureka, designed by Steve Leung, it is an elegant and feminine vanity that expresses the charm of a furnishing from the past in a contemporary key. By rethinking the notion of the wardrobe, Eureka integrates perfectly with the “Armadio al Centimetro” range in the night area, giving rooms an aesthetic elegance: an intimate and cosy space in which to express your personal style. In the next window is a brand new interpretation of the iconic Selecta modular bookcase, with new vertical lighting, featuring a built-in desk, ideal when pausing for a relaxing read or writing a letter. Inside the flagship store we invite you to browse the brand new collaboration with Danish designers, Norm Architects, with their nordic aesthetics meeting essential Italian design, through the Fred dining chairs, Francis coffee tables and Claire lounge chair. Another novelty involves designer Ximi Li and his In-Between dining table, where space becomes the focal point and the sculptural base is a work of art. Last but not least, Federica Biasi signs her second collaboration with Lema through the Niveaux sofa, a modular floor sofa available with either moveable backs or fixed backs, it is the ideal versatile sofa. In the newly extended back area of the flagship store a selection of wardrobes is presented from the customisable "Armadio al Centimetro" range together with the LT40 island by David Lopez Quincoces, ideal for a walk-in closet, and Yard day bed by Francesco Rota, a perfect addition to any night area. The London flagship store is designed to be more than just a showroom, it functions both as a furniture store and a window to explore Lema’s world of bespoke design and style. The company artistic director, Piero Lissoni, designed the space to draw attention to the pillars of the brand: tradition, innovation, industrial expertise and know-how, all of which define the essence of Italian design and the unique world of Lema. Join us on Wednesday 21st of September from 6:30pm to 8:30pm for a cocktail party at the flagship store in celebration of London Design Festival where a special, guest artist will be drawing live throughout the evening, drawing inspiration from Lema's furniture and its unmistakable style.
