What if the world’s last bird still had a song to sing—a message of hope, resilience, and renewal?

Letters to the Sun explores this question through the lens of sustainability, material innovation, and artistic storytelling. Confirmed to take place at 42 Gorst Studios on September 13–14, 2025, as part of London Design Festival, the exhibition brings together a diverse group of artists—many of whom are residents of Gorst—who respond to the urgency of climate change, the delicate relationship between humanity and nature, and the potential of design and art to shape a more sustainable future. Drawing inspiration from projects such as The Sun, My Heart by Marjan van Aubel Studio, and Vert by Diez Office in collaboration with OMC°C, the show highlights works made with upcycled materials, bio-based mediums, and sensory engagement. Natural soundscapes—birdsong, wind, and waves—will flow through the space, offering an immersive environment grounded in reflection and care.
