Maggie & Rose proudly welcome acclaimed writer and illustrator Marion Deuchars to our Islington Café, with an interactive exhibition about 'Bob, the Artist,' plus a program of events and activities for little ones and their grown-ups celebrating all things: Bob.
Meet Bob. Bob the bird is just like all his friends, apart from his skinny legs. When Bob is teased, he decides to try and change himself to fit in. But little does he know where all his efforts will lead him… Marion Deuchars, creator of Bob, the Artist and long-time Islington local, brings her bold, graphic style to the Maggie & Rose Café for LDF this autumn, to teach a lesson that resonates with our ethos at Maggie & Rose deeply. 'Bob, the Artist' is an affirming tale for little ones age 3 years and older, about the power of art and of being confident enough to be yourself. With Marion’s strikingly beautiful illustrations lining the Café walls and windows, little ones will have the opportunity to contribute their own artworks to the exhibition, as well as enjoy a program of family events and activities throughout the festival including a treasure hunt around Islington Square, craft activities and author readings.
