Material Matters London at Space House

Returning to the capital for its fourth edition, this year's event moves to a bold new venue and one of the city’s most iconic modernist buildings. Located close to Holborn and Covent Garden, Space House provides a striking backdrop for over 40 carefully curated brands and emerging designers. Material Matters 2025 offers visitors a lively platform for innovation, responsibility and business opportunities. It features a range of products and materials, from bio-based alternatives and recycled composites to heritage crafts and cutting-edge fabrication. The lineup of major manufacturers and bold innovators includes 3M presenting its DI-NOC™ finishes for sustainable surface refurbishing, while Anglepoise celebrates 90 years of design legacy. MycoWorks brings Reishi™, its pioneering mycelium-based material, to the UK with a new Nordic Light collection developed alongside five leading Danish studios, while FILIE Materials introduces cutting-edge, sustainable alternatives made from recycled car windscreen film, including leather substitutes and flexible foams. Curated by tp bennett and The Furniture Practice, In The Making returns with a focus on responsibility and manufacturers committed to safeguarding natural resources. Participating brands include Arper, Tarkett, and Domus Tiles. Material Matters continues to champion emerging designers. Highlights include Jacob Marks’ pine resin explorations, Micaella Pedros’ reclaimed plastic works, and Ric Frampton’s DC-01 chair, designed with circularity and future proofing in mind.
