Material Matters London 2026 presents a three-day talks programme exploring some of the most urgent questions in contemporary material practice, from waste and bio design to durability and circularity, while amplifying the stories and ideas behind the work of many of the fair’s exhibitors.

Thought Leadership Partner Berghaus will host a talk each day, drawing on its expertise in performance and technical materials. The British Council will also contribute through Making Matters, its programme exploring circular approaches across architecture, design and fashion. On 16 September, Negroni Talks returns with Facade Charade: Does Form Follow Fashion Within (World) Architecture?, bringing together speakers from practices including ZHA and O’Donnell + Tuomey Architects to examine the relationship between fashion and architecture. For the full programme and schedule, go to the Material Matters website.
