Meet the Migrateful Chefs at The Hydration Showroom

Billi UK is teaming up with Migrateful to provide two cookery workshops for this year’s London Design Festival on 20th and 21st September. Migrateful looks to support migrants in a number of ways relating to wellbeing, employability, and integration. These unique workshops give you the opportunity to meet the chefs who have benefitted from the amazing Migrateful scheme. As the chefs cook some tasty snacks for you to taste, they will also be sharing some stories about their experiences. Migrateful’s mission is to empower and celebrate refugees and vulnerable migrants on their journey to integration, by supporting them to run their own cookery classes. Due to legal, linguistic, and social barriers, finding work can be extremely difficult for many migrants. Being unable to provide for themselves and their families has significant negative effects on self-esteem and mental health. The workshop will be taking place less than half a mile from the Migrateful Cookery School, at The Hydration Showroom, on Clerkenwell Road. Come along and enjoy!
