Visit the Reset Lounge, a space to pause away from the busyness of the exhibition. Designed by Sonda Studio as a sensory experience exploring how different environments make us feel. Move through four distinct spaces, discover what your senses are drawn to and become more aware of how your surroundings affect you.

The Reset Lounge is a place to pause, reset and reconnect away from the sensory demands of a busy exhibition, but it is also an invitation to explore something we often don't consciously notice: how our surroundings make us feel. Designed by Sonda Studio for Neuroplaces, the Reset Lounge explores the idea that we all experience environments differently. What feels calming to one person may feel understimulating to another. What helps one person focus may be distracting to someone else. There is no single environment that works for everyone. Visitors are invited to move freely between four spaces, each offering a different sensory experience through changes in elements such as light, colour, texture, sound, enclosure and spatial character. There is no prescribed route and no "right" space to choose. Instead, notice what draws you in. Where do you naturally want to spend more time? What helps you settle? What energises you? Is there an environment you instinctively move towards? The experience is designed to encourage curiosity and greater awareness of our individual sensory preferences through experience rather than explanation. This reflects a principle at the heart of Sonda Studio's approach: designing for range, not average. Rather than trying to create one supposedly perfect environment for everyone, we can create spaces that recognise human variation and offer greater choice, flexibility and agency. The more we understand how environments affect us, the better we can communicate what we need from the spaces around us. And the better we understand the range of people using our spaces, the better equipped we are to design environments where more people can thrive. Come in, explore the spaces and discover what your senses tell you.
