This past year has seen profound change in the way global luxury consumers live and shop, and in what they value. Chaired by Henrietta Thompson, contributing editor at Wallpaper*, lighting and furniture studio Gabriel Scott hosts a panel of experts who will discuss the evolution of luxury in the hospitality industry.

Recent reports suggest that this year will see a transition from an extended period of conspicuous consumption to a new era of conscientious luxury. One report by Bain argues that by 2030 we will no longer talk of the luxury market anymore, but of the market for “insurgent cultural and creative excellence”. “In this new, enlarged space, winning brands will be those that build on their existing excellence while reimagining the future with an insurgent mindset. Luxury players will need to think boldly to rewrite the rules of the game, transforming their operations and redefining their purpose to meet new customer demands and retain their relevance, especially for younger generations, who are set to drive 180% of the growth in the market from 2019 to 2025.” What does this mean for the businesses who form the luxury hospitality industry? How do they evolve their offering to stay competitive? What are the main drivers when designing innovative products and spaces? What are the main challenges the industry faces in a post pandemic world, and how do we overcome them? Gabriel Scott's Founder Scott Richler will be joined by experts from Piercy & Company, the Four Seasons Hotel Group, Mr & Mrs Smith, amongst others to discuss.
