Bravery is not an absence of fear, but an embracing of it. When faced with fear, the brave do not turn away and run, they run towards despite. The Running Towards, an ode to the acts of heroism of the emergency services, is an exhibition which celebrates London Fire Brigade’s new typeface and design history. London Fire Brigade invites you to join with KesselsKramer, Thomas Sharp, Studio Sutherl& and the LFB team for a glimpse of firefighting life behind those iconic big red shutters of Shoreditch Fire Station. Expect gallant graphics with bold typography inspired by the new Fire Brigade sans typeface from eminent British creative studios, new interpretations of the flammable icon, quirky London Fire Brigade objects and ephemera, an inspired woven wool carpet design from Brintons and an exclusive one day only vintage fire engine display on 24 September charting London Fire Brigade's design history.
