Carl Hansen & Søn invites you to an immersive exhibition,“The Sound of Design”. The brand will present its new Vega Chair and Foyer series by Vilhelm Lauritzen, along with live weaving and a breakfast presentation with its CEO Knud Erik Hansen and Anne Møller Sørensen of Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects-21st Sept 9.30am.
This year, Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects celebrates its 100-year anniversary. Its founder Danish master architect Vilhelm Lauritzen created some of the most iconic buildings in Copenhagen, including the concert halls Radiohuset and Vega. To honour Lauritzen, Carl Hansen & Søn brings back to life for the first time, his most exceptional works, specifically designed to adorn these cultural institutions. The Danish brand have an exciting programme of activities planned for its Clerkenwell showroom, as part of this year's London Design Festival. These include a talk with its CEO Knud Erik Hansen and Anne Møller Sørensen from Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects, live weaving with its master craftsman Bruno, and a watercolour station inviting guests to explore the same method often used by Lauritzen. Alongside this exhibition Carl Hansen & Søn will be previewing new releases designed by Børge Mogensen and Frits Henningson.
