Take part in a Camden Green Loop and Camden Highline’ workshop that will shape new heritage signage for Camden Town. The session will combine the expertise of design professionals with participants’ lived experience to create a signage system that tells the story of Camden's past and highlights places of interest.

The Camden Green Loop is a public realm strategy to build beautiful, flexible public spaces that meet the needs of local communities. Camden Highline is the flagship project of the Camden Green Loop, transforming a disused railway viaduct into a new park in the sky. Camden Highline has recently embarked on a project called Tracking the Heritage - an ambitious project funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, aimed at making the heritage on and surrounding the Highline route more participatory, inclusive and accessible to both residents and visitors. To celebrate LDF2024, Camden Highline and the Camden Green Loop invite you to a design workshop where participants are immersed fully in the "Tracking the Heritage" project. You will join a session focused on designing a new heritage signage system, along with Neighbourhood Designers, historians, and design professionals. The workshop will explore the stories and landmarks that define Camden, and create wayfinding concepts that are informative and reflective of the community’s voice. The experts will be on hand to help refine ideas, test their viability, and offer potential alternative routes to achieve your objectives. The end of the workshop should result in a set of wayfinding concepts that the group has devised to enhance the historical narrative and visitor experience in Camden.
