Nothing New Under the Sun
The most sustainable building is the one that already exists. The most sustainable product is the one that already works. This session makes the case that designing with what we have, whether a building, an object, or a material, is not a constraint but the most radical design act available to us right now. From Berlin's architecture of anti-demolition to the ethics of industrial design at mass scale, it asks a simple and devastating question: why do we keep making new things when so much already exists?
