The Museum Has Left the Building
Moderated by Banu Uçak
What is a museum actually for, and who decides? This session brings together world-leading architects and cultural thinkers who are fundamentally rethinking what a public institution can be, not just in terms of form, but in terms of responsibility. From the cultural landscapes of the MENA region to the reinvention of public space in China and beyond, the argument here is that the museum of the future won't be designed from the top down. It will grow from community, from ecology, and from a radical rethinking of who gets to walk through the door.
