Dominique Petit-Frère

Dominique Petit-Frère is the co-founder of Limbo Accra and Limbo Museum, an experimental contemporary arts institution in Accra, Ghana.

She leads the museum’s curatorial and architectural vision, transforming unfinished building projects into active platforms for art, design and architecture. Her work bridges local traditions and global practices, fostering interdisciplinary projects, artist residencies and public programmes that explore craft, heritage and spatial innovation.

Petit-Frère has developed new institutional models that rethink pedagogy, collaboration and engagement, creating environments where emerging voices and cross-disciplinary dialogue thrive. Through Limbo, she continues to expand the possibilities of contemporary African arts, architecture and design, shaping spaces that are both socially and architecturally transformative.
