Samer Yamani

Samer Yamani is a design curator and creative director whose practice operates at the intersection of contemporary craft, cultural heritage, and industrial design. Founder of Creative Dialogue, a design consultancy based in Dubai, Yamani work is to fostering a global exchange of projects, extending across more than 35 cities through a portfolio of design exhibitions and collections.
Yamani’s curatorial philosophy is rooted in a profound immersion into local cultures. He works intimately with designers and artisans to translate traditional crafts into the global contemporary design. This approach was recently showcased in his acclaimed exhibitions: “AlBaseqat” at the Ithra Museum and “Adaptability” at the Museum of Contemporary Art (SAMOCA) in Saudi Arabia. His commitment to the Saudi design is evidenced by his leadership of the Jusoor Design Collections for the Architecture and Design Commission at the Saudi Ministry of Culture, presenting local talent on the international stages. And the Madrasat Addeera Editions for the Royal Commission for AlUla, where he bridged ancient heritage with modern luxury.
Yamani’s career is defined by high-profile collaborations with world-class institutions. He served as the Director of MENASA – Emirati Design Platform at Expo 2020 Dubai, and his work on the Crafts Dialogue Collections for the Irthi Contemporary Crafts Council in Sharjah has gained significant international acclaim. His portfolio further extends to LIWAN Design Studio and Labs for Qatar Museums and the private sector by PostCraft Collection for BD Barcelona Design. As a regular fixture at the world’s most prestigious design events, Yamani consistently showcases his projects at Milan Design Week, Homo Faber, London Design Festival, Paris Design Week, and Dubai Design Week, among others. Through this multidisciplinary lens, Samer Yamani continues to redefine the design narrative in the Gulf region, ensuring that local heritage remains a vital, breathing component of the global scene.
