A fetish for objects first led Dan to the making of art, to create for himself pieces that could satisfy his visual needs. Since young, Dan has always given great importance to material things, toys for instance: they had to respond to particular features in order to be taken into account. The objects he chooses become more than simple objects, but existing living presences. No long ago, mid-century modern furniture started existing alongside Dan's first artistic practice, almost to the point of taking over it. Sofas, chairs, lamps, tables...these became his toys, just 20 years later.
