Emma Louise Payne is a contemporary ceramicist exploring the relationship between objects, architecture and everyday life. The studio spans making, exhibitions and education, connecting a rural studio in Oxfordshire with Atelier Seventy Six, its London home for contemporary craft always with an emphasis on making. During London Design Festival, the atelier opens as an immersive exhibition space, bringing together leading and emerging makers whose work sits between craft, design and material culture. Rather than a traditional gallery, the townhouse transforms into a curated space specific for that years chosen artisans, inviting visitors to experience how design becomes part of everyday rituals. Through thoughtfully curated exhibitions, conversations and collaborations, Atelier Seventy Six celebrates contemporary making as something to be lived with, collected and shared.
