Aidan Reinhold, originally from Marlborough, Massachusetts, graduated from Parsons School of Design in 2024 with a BFA in Integrated Design. Aidan’s thesis project, FlatFlat, was born from the experience of frequent moves and the observation of excessive furniture waste on the sidewalks of New York City. The design process prioritizes a seamless sequence of disassembly, shipment, and reassembly, utilizing flat-rate boxes, which can be acquired for free and shipped at a reduced cost. The materiality ensures the maximum longevity and eventual recyclability of the products.
