Future Designs and the mantra was, deliver world-class lighting solutions. 35 years on its determination to be the best at what they do carries the same belief. Our London base is Soho Lighthouse. It is more than an office and showroom space; it embodies the ethos of design and creativity. Future Designs carbon careful™ initiative is the largest lighting reuse provider in the UK, completing reuse schemes to over 6,000,000 sqft of office space. The initiative reuses end of life luminaire carcasses from old fluorescent fittings, and adapts them to LED. This has the effect of reducing carbon usage due to the minimal power consumption required while, additionally, the massive reduction in the amount of iron ore being extracted from the earth’s crust to create mild steel. The journey has seen us adapt as our world has become a better, more caring planet and one where the people we shed light upon are now seen as the most important medium and not merely the illumination of the space.
