Gemla is the oldest Swedish furniture workshop, founded in 1861, specialized in steam bending of solid wood. Gemla work with the most well known Swedish designers...and now with a British talented one. At gemla they only use the finest natural sustainable material. Such as horse hair, latex, wool and natural fibers. Gemla only use vegetable tanned leather or organic wool of the best quality as upholstry. All items are handcrafted in their own factory in South of Sweden. Gemla mainly work with high end hospitality projects. At this year LDF will Gemla & Samuel Wilkinson present their new GEMLA OPEN lounge chair. The GEMLA OPEN chair will be shown alongside other recent Gemla launches including STAM side tables by Sami Kallio and the up-cycling cushion project MEADOW by Lisa Hilland. One or two other surprises might be exhibited as well. This pop-up at London Design Festival 2022will be held in Shoreditch at OneGallery, 9 French Place, E16JB London
