DataWagashi is a design initiative fueled by global awareness, data representation and multisensory experience. By translating complex climate, geological, health and bio data into Wagashi, a Japanese confection traditionally rooted in the idea of capturing the transience of seasons and nature, it artfully captures and mobilizes all senses, and profoundly links to meaning and messages about the worlds' important topics. Believing that we can better understand and relate to pressing matters by “feeling” the data, DataWagashi is committed to making complex data tangible, accessible and fun by engaging senses beyond the visual.
