Unofficial Observatory is a London-based creative group comprising emerging designers, photographers, illustrators, and game developers from multiple disciplines. Our group is committed to exploring design methodologies and developing approaches to critically engage with pressing issues in the contemporary art and design world. We aim to underscore the significance of the "design process", utilising design as a strategic tool to embed creative works within social contexts. Through observation and analysis, we enhance our ongoing creative endeavours by adopting a decentralised and autonomous perspective, challenging and expanding the boundaries of design. Unofficial Observatory was initiated by Yat Sze Ashley Lo and Quail Wang. The current member of Unofficial Observatory includes Eloise Wang, Lingyu (Gloria) Guo, Xiangyue Deng, Xinyue Zhang, Yingxin Yan, Yuhe Luo, Yuxuan Ren and Zijing Wu.
