I am a glassblower based in East London. My practice as a maker is based around lamp working. My main focus is on unique tableware and bespoke Neon sculptures made from clear and coloured borosilicate glass tubing. My focal point is always the technique and the making, so everything is anchored around my over 20 years of experience working with glass as a liquid material. My design decisions are often spontaneous and improvisational and I like and encourage shifts based on this relationship with the material, it requires to be fully present during the making, but also ‘loose’ and playful enough for accidents to happen and to exploit them...
