The Art Academy, is an independent art school and registered, not-for profit, charity founded by artists in 2000 and based in Southwark, central London. We have grown and evolved since then. Under the leadership of Rob Pepper, the Art Academy has developed into a dynamic artistic community that has reinvented the contemporary art school by going back to basics, putting the skills tuition that other institutions have long since rejected, at the heart of what we do. Our broad-ranging offer makes us a truly distinctive art school, marrying full time courses to degree level with a rich and varied short course and outreach programme. We believe this creates a unique learning context and feeds creativity at all levels.
