WMDL celebrates the joy of making in Waltham Forest, inviting visitors to discover, learn, and interact with its vibrant design community. The 2025 William Morris Design Line presents an open weekend of design, craft and making in our corner of London. Between 19-21 September, makers and creatives are opening their doors to show you behind-the-scenes - a rare opportunity to meet designers, discover processes, and try your hand at making. WMDL was created by Wood Street Walls in 2020 as part of the Local Trust's Creative Civic Change Programme, establishing a community-led design route through Walthamstow. The district encompasses the thriving Blackhorse Lane area, designated as a Creative Enterprise Zone by the Mayor of London in 2021, and the Argall Industrial Area in Lea Bridge, home to over 400 businesses with a large concentration of design and manufacturing companies, plus the iconic William Morris Gallery on Forest Road.
