.obj (www.thedotobj.com) is a London-based design studio founded by Hanson Cheng, an RCA and Imperial College graduate. The studio reshapes contemporary homeware through materiality and form, drawing on architecture, digital culture and the founder's Chinese heritage. They integrate digital fabrication and physical making in their design process and focus on high-quality, small-batch production. Super Ornament (www.superornament.com) is a Black Country design studio founded by RCA graduate Adam Waldron and art director Safiyya Lea. Working exclusively with a network of local workshops and manufacturers, the studio produces furniture and objects in aluminium and steel, defined by visible construction and precision engineering.
