Olympia is one of the most ambitious regeneration projects in London. Spearheading the co-design of the redevelopment are renowned, London-based architectural practices, Heatherwick Studio and SPPARC. Built as an events and exhibitions venue almost 140 years ago, today it is being transformed into a new destination celebrating creativity in all its forms, from theatre and music to education and business. In addition to the historical buildings, five of which are listed and undergoing careful restoration, Olympia will be home to a 4,400-capacity live music venue, a 1,575-seat theatre, over 30 restaurants and bars, two new hotels, a school, not-for-profit spaces dedicated to performing arts, state-of-the-art offices, and new public squares and streets. Once completed, Olympia will become London’s stage for the remarkable and extraordinary, a showcase for global entertainment, emerging talent, and cutting-edge ideas.
