Roopa Basu is a London-based designer and artist who established Roopadesigns in Wandsworth in 2011. Raised across three continents, her diverse background has deeply influenced her creative approach. Roopa specialises in graphic design, working closely with high street businesses and sole traders, and actively engages in community-focused art projects. Her journey began with a love for art and music, evolving from architecture studies to a career in visual communication. Beyond her design work, Roopa offers global art workshops and has exhibited her work from London to Tokyo. She serves on the advisory board of South Thames College and the Creative Partners Group at Battersea Arts Centre, championing creativity and community engagement. Roopa was honoured as the runner-up at the 2024 Wandsworth Women’s Enterprise Awards. Guided by the belief in "thinking globally, acting locally," Roopa continues to blend her global experiences with a strong commitment to her local community.
