Sam Jacob

Sam Jacob Studio for architecture and design is a collaborative practice that makes buildings, places, strategies and objects. Projects spans scales and disciplines from urban design through architecture, design, art and curatorial projects and are characterised by creative and intelligent thinking. Recent projects include a new building in London’s Hoxton, the Victoria and Albert Museum’s Cromwell Road entrance, the new Cartoon Museum; work spaces for Art Review and designer Yinka Ilori, and a new gallery in south London. Sam is interested in how architecture and design can take ideas and make them real. Inspired by context, his projects try to embody stories, sensations and feelings in space, form and materials. His projects are striking yet also are full of familiar references, creating places and spaces with character and surprising beauty.
