Studio Sahil is an award winning design studio based in London. ‘Sahil’ means coast / shore in Turkish, where our studio draws inspiration from natural phenomena, patterns, and formations. Our aim for the studio is to design long-lasting, meaningful, and sustainable products made by the designer herself or with local artisans. Our process involves looking into intangible cultural heritage, craft practices and methods to develop new materials. Our work fields involve design, production and education. The main collection is hand blown glassware infused with sand from different locations, which creates unique patterns and textures. We collaborate with businesses such as hotels for designing sculptural installations, furniture, sand infused glass and ceramic tiles. Rezzan Hasoglu had won finalist prize for Lexus Design Award and gave a TEDx talk in 2019. She is a member Crafts Council and Homo Faber.
