Completing MA in Ceramics from Staffordshire University, the artist explores the future of craft amidst technological and AI advancements, challenging perceptions and constraints. Her research involved using Virtual Reality to sculpt models and manipulate CAD files, and 3D printing in clay to bring them to life. Inspired by nature, organic forms, and Gaudí’s architecture, the installation for London Design festival features the ‘Dahlia’ range and the ‘Peak’, a piece used as a metaphor for perseverance and the relentless pursuit of goals. The ‘Dahlia’ range, inspired by dahlias from the artist’s garden, merges natural beauty with digital craftsmanship. The use of Parian body clay and small lights enhances the delicate beauty and translucency of the models, accentuates their intricate details. Anny’s work advocates for harmony with nature, fellow humans and modern technology inviting dialogue on the balance of power between humans and the nature. Member of Green Grads 24
