Wang Chung Kun

Wang Chung Kun

Born in 1982, Taiwan-based artist Chung-Kun Wang works across sound, sculpture, video, kinetic art, and installation. His mechanical creations exhibit a distinct purity and rhythm—spinning, exhaling, blinking, or activating autonomously—each with its own peculiar beauty. Wang’s sound art carries a strong sense of musicality, transforming abstract sound into tangible experience. For him, sound is a medium for conveying ideas, engaging both rational understanding and emotional response. His works invite viewers to physically sense the immaterial presence of sound within space—an ever-shifting sonic image that reveals the shape and materiality of the environment through movement and perception.
