Mama’s Bricks is a London-based design studio specialising in custom ceramic bricks and architectural surfaces for interior design and architecture. The studio creates handcrafted ceramic elements that bring character, texture, and individuality to spaces, offering an alternative to mass-produced materials. Founded by artist and multidisciplinary designer Vanessa Soria Lima, Mama’s Bricks emerged from a personal exploration of how ceramics can improve the quality of built environments. Inspired by the lived experiences of heat and climate in her hometown, the studio investigates how clay, form, and surface design can influence comfort, atmosphere, and visual identity. Mama’s Bricks focuses on bespoke design rather than large-scale production. Each project is developed in close collaboration with interior designers and architects, allowing for customised shapes, colours, patterns, and finishes.
