This state of the art of venue, recording studio and education centre is located within a residential development in the bustling Nine Elms development district, nestled below the (in)famous Sky Pool. This context meant that acoustic isolation from the apartments above was paramount to the design brief for the project, which is of 'box-in-box' construction. The performance auditorium has multiple configurations including three different seating layouts; the flexibility allows the venue to change capacity, allow recording, conferences, and creates varying stage positions giving artists and producers a greater choice over audience experience. The auditorium seats 120 in luxurious hand-made chairs; the intimate size and layout giving our audiences unparalleled access to the artists. The immersive d&b Soundscape system is one of a handful in the country that are permanently installed; and was developed with Brian Eno and Bjork to provide sound as it is meant to be heard!
