Ben Payne joined Lotus in 2022, where he has led the design development of Lotus all-electric lifestyle cars: the hyper-SUV Eletre and hyper – GT Emeya, and the latest concept car Lotus Theory 1. He became Vice President of Design for Lotus Group in August 2023, where he is now responsible for overseeing all design for Lotus, ensuring design consistency, synergies and creative leadership across the whole brand. Ben brings over 20 years of extensive experience in automotive and design, having held influential design roles at Aston Martin, Bugatti and diverse consultancy experience with Makkina.
