
Francesca Perry is a London-based journalist and editor specialising in design, architecture and urbanism, writing for the Financial Times, CNN, Wallpaper* and Elle Decoration. She is the former editor-in-chief of ICON, deputy editor of Blueprint and commissioning editor at The Guardian Cities desk. She holds an MSc in Urban Studies and has a background in participatory urban design. Francesca founded the editorial and events platform Thinking City and edited Welfare Architecture for All (Arvinius + Orfeus, 2021). She works with the African Futures Institute and Quality of Life Futures, and has collaborated with The London School of Architecture, UCL and the Aga Khan Development Network. She has chaired panels at the Edinburgh International Science Festival, Habitat III, SXSWEco and the London Festival of Architecture, and has sat on juries at the Design Museum, British Council and Smart Oxford.
