Gem is an author, academic and worldbuilder. At the Royal College of Art Gem is a Reader in Design Pedagogy, where she runs superFUTURES, a platform that specialises in the design and critique of futures. Her teaching, research and practice (O-SSD) speculates upon emerging transitions in humanity and society and their relationship to architecture and the built environment.
