Guan Lee

Dr. Guan Lee is Associate Professor of Architecture and co-founder of Material Architecture Lab at the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL. Lee's research practice, Grymsdyke Farm, set in the Chilterns Buckinghamshire, UK, from the outset was, and remains, to establish and explore the value of a collective living/working practice that involves an intimate engagement with materials and processes of making in a specific place. Over the last ten years, Grymsdyke Farm has engaged with many notable collaborative design projects, speculative research, material research, digital fabrication technology and knowledge exchange activities across a diverse spectrum. Dr. Guan Lee has a BSc. in Architecture from McGill University (1997), AA Diploma (1999) and MSc. Landscape Urbanism (2003) from the Architectural Association and completed his PhD in Architecture (2013) at the Bartlett, UCL.
